Lesson 1 - Varnamaale

Hi, I am Deepak. In this sereis of posts I am going to teach you how to read and write kannada.  Kannada is very simple and beautiful language to speak, read and write. So lets begin...

LESSON 1

Kannada Varnamale (like alphabets in English)

There are totally 46 letters in Kannada Varnamale. First twelve letters are called as "Swaragalu" and the rest is "Vyanjanagalu". Again "Vyanjanagalu" is divided into two categories namely 1) Vargeeya Vyanjanagalu & 2) Avargeeya Vyanjanagalu. Don't worry about these names as we are not going too deep into the grammer.

Below is the first 12 letter of Kannada Varnamaale.

This ends the first lesson. In next lesson I'm going to teach u about remaning characters of Kannada Varnamale.
